My name is Philip Moore. I’m a professional clubmaker, golf coach, and author of the book The Mad Science of Golf.

Welcome to my site.

I’m a Certified Member of the Professional Clubmakers’ Society, an Advanced Member of the Golf Clubmakers Association, and a Certified Advanced Rifle Shaft Technician. I’ve also successfully completed club fitting and training programs with Titleist, Mizuno Golf, Adams Golf, Golfworks, Golfsmith, and Swing Science.

I’ve studied golf and have been an avid player for over forty years. For the past nine years, I’ve operated a custom golf club  business at Jurupa Hills Country Club in Riverside, California.

I’ll soon be opening a second location in Cathedral City, California.

I’m a one-man operation. I fit each client outside on the Jurupa Hills driving range and I build every golf club myself - putter through driver. I keep detailed records and enjoy working with my customers on a long term basis.

I’M ALL ABOUT LOWER SCORES and my personal goal is to lower the average score of every golfer I work with. I’ve found that when a golfer has clubs that are easier to use and a better understanding of what they’re trying to do, their average score drops ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.

Each golfer is unique in their size, strength, natural ability, swing, and understanding of how to play golf. That’s why golf clubs should be custom fit and each golfer should be coached in a unique manner. That’s also why I have no intention of growing my business into anything larger than it is today.
